The Windows. #FridayFotoFiction

Spread the love

The windows outside my house were a silly little bunch. Sometimes they would show a shiny summer day with birds chirping on tree and the green grass dancing to the tunes of the wind.

The very next day I could see a snow laden ground and the trees stripper of all their greens. The life sucked out of each corner of the view. Other days it would rain and sometimes it would get so hot that the place became a desert.

It was tough living in that home, even tougher how it felt to see the view as well. The home was my body and the windows my view of he world.

Living with bipolar disorder is a tough task for most.

It really is a serious problem that is difficult to diagnose.

Mayuri Nidigallu · December 19, 2017 at 1:29 AM

Such a serious problem, explained so compassionately.
Beautiful read, this.
Thank you for writing for #FridayFotoFiction

Thank you!😊 I am actually writing a letter to the PMO about the situation of mental health in India and how it can be improved. Would love some insights from you.

We wrote on almost similar lines… Mental health!
Very well captured.

Windows somehow bring out the experiences I have had with depression back. Thank you!😊

Lavanya · December 19, 2017 at 10:41 AM

That’s a noble cause. Would love to pitch in for your letter. Good luck!

    knightofsteel · December 19, 2017 at 10:41 AM

You could actually read it in my post. Further suggestions are always welcome

    knightofsteel · December 19, 2017 at 10:44 AM

I’ve been trying to access your website. Always seems to be unable to load.

      Lavanya · December 19, 2017 at 11:07 AM

Oh, I just accessed and it worked fine. Maybe try again?

      knightofsteel · December 19, 2017 at 11:08 AM

It says the author has deleted the site.

      Lavanya · December 19, 2017 at 11:09 AM

That’s weird. Did you try ? I am commenting right from there.

      knightofsteel · December 19, 2017 at 11:10 AM

That’s it. Got it working now 🙂

      Lavanya · December 19, 2017 at 11:10 AM

🙂 you had me worried there for a minute. Cool, then. Thanks for stopping by.

sukrisblog · December 20, 2017 at 8:45 AM

Beautifully worded. Seems to be difficult to diagnose the issue.

    knightofsteel · December 20, 2017 at 8:48 AM

It really is. Most people just call them crazy and move on

Meha Sharma · December 20, 2017 at 11:42 PM

Loved the narration Arjun! Windows have a different meaning for people grappling with depression.

    knightofsteel · December 20, 2017 at 11:44 PM

True. Everyday things like walla, doors and windows mean different things for a depressed mind.

opinionatedmua · December 21, 2017 at 3:57 AM

Very well explained. I did not expect that. It’s true the disorder is draining in many ways we cant fathom.

    knightofsteel · December 21, 2017 at 4:00 AM

It is indeed. Many mental disorders are and many aren’t even officially recognized yet.
