The Day I Got Published.

I take on the Baton of Blogchatter Ebook Carnival from Nidhi whose ebook ‘Wheels of Time‘ is also part of the mix. About Nidhi’s ebook: These are 12 people, 12 tales and 12 months. Which says “When The Unexpected Leads to Expected.”

It was on 22nd May 2018 that I technically became a published writer. The articles I had created so carefully and studiously were compiled into an eBook. I haven’t really mentioned this enough but I am really thankful to Blogchatter for helping me strike this off my list. I had always thought that becoming published would be an impossible task. I saw it as a mountain that I could never possibly climb and if I did, it would be something I achieve in my 30s or 40s. Blogchatter changed that for me and gave me a chance to be published at 20.

I still remember the day it happened. I had just written my last exam and was excited about the book launch. I could hardly keep calm and when the link finally came up my happiness knew no bounds. I shared it immediately on every social media channel I have. I earned many accolades and good wishes. It was an achievement in itself and one that I am not forgetting anytime soon. The ebook finally held its train at 250 downloads. It is about 200 than I had expected and the reviews have been encouraging as well.

I know I am not anywhere close to being a seasoned writer but this ebook carnival has ended up being a steep learning curve for me both as a writer and as a person. I have made so many new friends in the blogging community and read so many inspiring and thought provoking stories. I have better communication skills now and a more positive outlook on the whole world.

There are many lessons that I carry within myself but don’t acknowledge consciously. I don’t know what they are but I will carry them with me throughout my life. April and May 2018 have truly been developmentally rich couple of months for me.

I pass on the Baton of Blogchatter Ebook Carnival to Medha whose ebook ‘The Last Seychelles Flame‘ is also part of the mix. About Medha’s ebook: Adrija has all the qualities for a boy to reject her marriage proposal, and so her parents are worried about finding a groom for her. She moves to Mumbai to become the best fashion photographer and Cupid strikes.. or not.. Will she unite with her true love?

  1. I read your ebook last month. I found it really informative, even got it printed for myself. The language was also pretty simple to understand and the personal experiences just brought it to life. Wishing you luck for more books to come.
