My Tiny Tales: Patriot.

Spread the love

The auto rickshaw driver hoisted the national flag high on his vehicle.

He said “I am proud to be an Indian. I’m a true patriot, nothing comes before my country for me.”

The tobacco he spit on the road daily told a different story.

So true. This should be on hoardings around the country for every auto wala to read.

anubhutisethmehn · September 11, 2017 at 12:01 PM

Oh seriously …the biggest problem of our nation…

Wonderfully written and very smart.

Natasha · September 11, 2017 at 2:14 PM

Till the time conditioning does’nt change this country really wont make much progress. We need awareness and literacy.

Nice snappy story.

    knightofsteel · September 11, 2017 at 8:48 AM

Thank you!☺ Literacy would certainly help but until then we must do our bit and let people know that littering wouldn’t help anyone.

      Natasha · September 15, 2017 at 4:59 AM

Yeah that’s the bit. Educating the masses.

Sheethal Susan Jacob · September 11, 2017 at 3:12 PM

So true. I hate people spitting on roads. I terribly terribly hate such people.

ashiot · September 11, 2017 at 6:09 PM

Haha this is so true! We should change dictionary meaning of patriotism for these people.

    knightofsteel · September 11, 2017 at 7:10 AM

Patriotism has become more symbolic than it used to be

kuheli bhattacharya · September 11, 2017 at 6:36 PM

India, the worl’d spitoon. Its crazy how much excess saliva we have as a nation.

kreativemommy · September 11, 2017 at 10:43 PM

Haha..great twist to the story in the end. India cannot improve if we keep on doing all this.

    knightofsteel · September 11, 2017 at 11:45 AM

We must do our bit by talking to them and helping them understand not to do it too.

Diya@februaryreve · September 11, 2017 at 11:59 PM

This is so cool! Not spitting on the road, of course. I love how you explained so much about the character in only a few words.

sunita · September 12, 2017 at 1:03 AM

ha ha ha

Ruby Singh (@sin_ruby) · September 12, 2017 at 1:50 PM

His daily dose of patriotism is way too high than the annual one.

Minakshi bajpai · September 12, 2017 at 5:44 PM

Haha its very funny tale. And actually a real situation that everyday happened near around. People like him should teach the meaning of patriotism

Rohan Kachalia (@rohank01) · September 12, 2017 at 8:21 PM

Superbly done!!

Mummasaurus · September 13, 2017 at 11:05 AM

what a powerful tale in such little words!!! Loved it!!
also love your logo — superman and batman in one 😉

    knightofsteel · September 13, 2017 at 12:13 AM

    Thank you!☺️
I have a very weird obsession with both of them.

shraeblog · September 13, 2017 at 6:44 PM

Really beautiful😊
My wishes.

Ashok Garg · September 17, 2017 at 11:26 AM

Patriotism these days has lost its real sense and is used just to incite hatred and war hysteria.

momtasticworld · September 17, 2017 at 12:56 PM

That is exactly how many of us behave too, just talking about patriotism and making this a developed nation isn’t enough until we decide to work together for it.

    knightofsteel · September 17, 2017 at 12:56 PM

True. We need to act on our words rather than just using platitudes
